JENNIFER MEDLEY AMAZING DAYS IN THE MIDST OF AUTHORS MUSICIANS, TEACHERS & FRIENDS
At the end of those amazing women discussing their losses as gifts and triumphs, as if it couldn’t get any better, we were graced with the most beautiful voice I have ever heard singing Amazing Grace. Three years ago a struggling single mother of two wanted to go back to school and get her degree. Agape Spiritual Center told First Tuesday who picks a home every year about her. The women of First Tuesday she said changed her life. She said how blessed she was because of what they did. Her spirit was finally allowed to soar. She came back to sing for all of us, even though I wasn’t a member three years ago, this is something that will keep me a member forever. This is a woman who has a billboard with her picture on it in Italy. Already an International pop star, her name is Mijan Owens. Her voice had everyone in tears with a standing ovation to match the emotion. I have never heard anything like it. Aesthetically and spirit wise, she matched her voice. What a gift given to me that night witnessing the artistic beauty all around me.
